What’s Mine is Yours: Real Estate Community Property Laws in Louisiana

The purpose of this continuing education is to provide the attendees with a basic overview and understanding of community property law in Louisiana. The presentation aims to inform attendees how community and separate property law impacts their daily live, not only personally, but as real estate professionals. The class is very code and article heavy but will also use real world examples that we have seen over the years in real estate. The course will also touch on some case law to give the attendees an idea on how courts will interpret these rules. The course encourages an open dialogue between the presenter and attendees.
